VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Health and Safety Instructor

Purpose:                         To teach the community health and safety courses

Qualifications:                ●Strong communication and interpersonal skills

●Ability to provide quality customer service

●Interest in people and ability to work well with clients, volunteers and paid staff

●Knowledge of the Mission, Fundamental Principles, history and services of the American Red Cross

●Knowledge of general office protocol, procedures and equipment

●Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus

Training/Criteria:            ●Complete Volunteer Application

●Complete online background check

●Complete New Employment and Volunteer Orientation

●Complete Fundamentals of Instructor Training (5 hour course)

●Complete the course that you desire to teach

●Complete Instructor Training (28 hour course)

●On the job training as necessary

●CPR/First Aid Certification
