2008 HEROES CAMPAIGN
There are Heroes Among Us!

These are difficult times for all of us, and we at the High Desert Chapter of the American Red Cross would like to focus on some of the positives in our community.  The generous residents and American Red Cross supporters in our community
are the "positives" we are thinking of right now.

The High Desert Chapter of the American Red Cross will be holding a fundraising
event this October and November, 2008.
~~~~
This event is to recognize special people in the community who have taken extraordinary action to help others by
donating a gift of $1,000.00 to the High Desert Chapter.

Each $1,000.00 donation received from this fundraising event will provide food, shelter, and clothing for two families who have lost their homes and belongings due to house fires or other disasters.
Your donation will be acknowledged by having your "hero's" picture featured
in a full page color photo ad in the Daily Press!

Feel free to involve your employers, schools, civic clubs or churches in your efforts to raise money for this worthy cause.

The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on voluntary donations of time, money and blood to do its work. The High Desert Chapter responds to approximately 100 incidents annually, providing shelter, food, comfort and financial assistance. One way to help us help High Desert residents 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year is through a financial donation.

  2. A free convenient pick-up will be arranged.
  3. Obtain a receipt for your donation.
You will receive a receipt that will be used as a charitable donation on your federal and state tax returns. Consult with your tax advisor.
