Payment/Refund Policy

Classes must be pre-paid. Payment can be made by cash, company check, money order or credit/debit card. Personal checks cannot be accepted. Class fees are non-refundable unless the High Desert Chapter cancels the class and there are no other class dates available for rescheduling. We will happily reschedule you into another class but additional fees may apply. Click here to view our Class Policies and Information.



Review/Challenge Courses

Review and/or challenge courses for CPR and CPR for the Professional Rescuer are available. Requirements and course fees vary. Please call the Victorville office at (760) 245-6511 for more information.



Community/General Courses:


Adult CPR/AED: Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adult victims of cardiac arrest.


Babysitting/Infant and Child CPR: Participants learn the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians and how to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children under the age of 12. For participants age 11-15.


California Child Care: Pediatric CPR and First Aid: This course teaches individuals to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies, pediatric first aid and injury prevention. This class meets CA EMSA requirements of daycare providers. Upon successful completion, students will receive an Adult, Infant, Child CPR certificate valid for 1 year and a CA Child Care First Aid certificate valid for 2 years.


California Child Care: Health & Safety: This course provides training for daycare providers about preventing infectious diseases, caring for ill children and checking for immunizations in the child care setting. Fee includes the State approved sticker. Upon successful completion, students will receive a California Child Care Health & Safety certificate valid indefinitely.


CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED: This course is designed for the rescuer with a duty to respond (such as lifeguard, CNA, RN, etc.) or for anyone desiring to learn advanced CPR. Content includes 2-rescuer CPR and using a resuscitation mask and bag-valve mechanism.


Community CPR and First Aid: Comprehensive course that includes Adult CPR/AED, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. Spanish language instruction available.


First Aid: Participants learn first aid skills for treating a variety of injuries, such as burns, wounds, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies. Participants also learn to manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites and poisoning.



Instructor Courses:


Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT): This course introduces the instructor candidate to the history, structure and activities of the American Red Cross and prepares candidates to teach Red Cross specialty courses to diverse populations. Instructor candidates are introduced to the policies and procedures of the American Red Cross to ensure course consistency, quality and appropriate training.


Instructor Course: 2-day training course designed for those who wish to be certified instructors of Adult CPR/AED, Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. Participants must attend all sessions. Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Instructor Training.
